1. Who we are
This site is operated by Ready Design and Technology Ltd, trading as ReadyTec, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 06585377, with its registered office at Perch Studios Franklins House, Wesley Lane, Bicester, Oxfordshire, England, OX26 6JU.
If you have any questions about this policy, or about how we handle your information, contact us at info@readytec.co.uk or on 01869 866555.
2. The information we collect
Information you give us
When you complete the enquiry form on our contact page, or email or call us, we collect the details you choose to provide. That typically includes your name, company name, email address, telephone number and the content of your message.
Information we collect automatically
Our web server keeps standard access logs, which record the IP address of the visiting device, the pages requested, the date and time, and the browser and operating system reported. These logs are generated by the hosting platform rather than by any tracking code — this site does not use Google Analytics, or any other analytics or advertising tracker.
Information from remote support sessions
If you start a remote support session from our Get Support page, our remote access provider records technical session details such as the connecting IP address, the machine name, and the start and end time of the session. A session can only begin with a code issued by one of our technicians and with your active consent, and it ends when you close the application.
3. Why we use your information, and our lawful basis
| What we use it for | Lawful basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to an enquiry you have sent us | Legitimate interests — replying to someone who has contacted us |
| Providing IT support, and administering our services | Performance of a contract with you or your employer |
| Delivering a remote support session | Performance of a contract, and your consent when you enter the session code |
| Keeping our website secure and available | Legitimate interests — protecting our systems from misuse |
| Meeting our accounting and legal obligations | Legal obligation |
We do not send marketing email unless you have asked us to. If we ever do, every message will carry a one-click unsubscribe link.
4. Who we share it with
We host this website on our own infrastructure, so no third-party hosting company holds the site or its server logs.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We do share it with a small number of suppliers who process it on our behalf, under contract and only on our instructions:
- Our email provider — Microsoft 365, which carries and stores our correspondence
- ScreenConnect (ConnectWise) — which provides the remote support platform
- Google — which serves the fonts used on this site, and the map embedded on our contact page
We may also disclose information where we are required to by law, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
5. Sending information outside the UK
Some of the suppliers above may process personal data outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens, we rely on the UK Government’s adequacy regulations, or on the International Data Transfer Agreement (or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses), to keep your information protected to a UK standard.
6. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete information we no longer have a good reason to keep;
- restrict how we use your information, or object to us using it, where we rely on legitimate interests;
- transfer your information to another provider, where you provided it and we process it by automated means; and
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
To exercise any of these, email info@readytec.co.uk. We will respond within one month. There is no charge, unless a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
7. Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. Some pages embed third-party content that may set cookies on your device. Our Cookie Policy explains exactly which pages and which services are involved, and how to control them.
8. Keeping your information secure
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections to this website, access controls on our systems, and multi-factor authentication on our business accounts. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to reduce the risk.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. Where a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell affected customers directly.
10. How to complain
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first at info@readytec.co.uk, so we have the chance to put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
